Overcoming barriers together and promoting independence
VITA
Assistenzhunde e. V. is an organisation dedicated to training and providing
assistance dogs. With the aim of supporting people with physical, mental or
psychological impairments, it is dedicated to overcoming barriers and helping
people to lead more independent lives.
Tailor-made training
Close
cooperation with trainers, vets, carers and of course the future owners ensures
that the assistance dogs are specifically adapted to individual needs and
requirements.
VITA's
assistance dogs are trained with a great deal of dedication, patience and
expertise. The dogs are prepared for a variety of tasks that may vary depending
on the needs of their future partners. These include, for example, opening
doors, picking up objects, indicating medical emergencies or assisting with
mobility.
Careful
selection of the dogs and their optimal socialisation is very important to VITA.
The organisation gets its dogs from reputable sources and attaches great
importance to ensuring that the animals not only have the right skills, but
also a friendly and gentle nature. This is crucial for building a trusting
relationship between the dog and its partner.
Aftercare – an important element
Another
impressive feature of VITA is the extensive aftercare. The association provides
ongoing support for the dog owners to ensure that the assistance dogs are used
optimally and adapt to individual needs. This includes regular reviews, further
training and sharing of experiences and information.
The
positive impact of VITA is undeniable. The dogs offer their owners not only
practical help in everyday life, but also emotional support and an increased
sense of security and independence. They are loyal companions who encourage
their partners to take on new challenges and lead fulfilling lives.
