Why does your Audi need a dog box?

Transporting your four-legged friend in a dog box is recommendable for many reasons. First of all the most important: a pet in the car is regarded as cargo which must be secured. This is required by the legislator that leaves no room there. The consequences can be high penalties. Those who cannot or do not want to buckle up their dog on the backseat use a dog box on the backseat or – if possible - in the car boot. Using a dog guard at the same time provides the safest transport solution provided that the dog transport box and guard meet all the requirements of safety and quality. For almost fifty years, we have developed and produced high-quality dog transport boxes. Always in contact with all established car manufacturers. And as modern mobility constantly changes we are always up-to-date with regard to current safety standards.

Which dog box is the right choice for your Audi?

Kleinmetall offers you two series of boxes called VarioCage and Alustar which can be used universally and meet the highest quality demands. Alustar scores with a solid but still light aluminium structure and a robust snap lock as its standard version. On request we also deliver these boxes with catch lock and lock cylinder. Other special designs are equipped with an escape door at the back as well as a mountable ventilator which provides convenient air circulation on warm days. If your Audi has a boot sill, there is also a special design of Alustar for this. These dog transport boxes for the car boot are also available as single or double variant of different depths. Alustar is available in four sizes for the backseat including restraint system which can be easily integrated in the mechanical belt system of your Audi in a few steps.

VarioCage is probably the safest dog box we have ever developed. Extensive test scenarios and numerous crash tests were part of the developing phase. The result is simply and uncompromisingly ideal safety. VarioCage consists of aluminium and steel. The box has a deformation zone and an emergency exit, furthermore a lockable safety lock and automatic door stoppers. A one-hand quick release provides easy opening. VarioCage is continuously extractable and offered in four sizes. It is also available as single or double box. A compact box is provided for vehicles with high boot sill and/or deep loading floors.

For optimum use of space and perfect fit we recommend boxes from the Exclusive-series. As the name already suggests, this box is manufactured exclusively for your Audi and following your instructions. Your requirements play the main role, e.g. whether you would like to transport several dogs or whether you would like to divide your loading space in a particular way because you want to transport a pram or you need it for your hobby. Whether single boxes, double boxes, double-floor boxes or wheel case boxes are concerned: our individual solutions protect people, dogs and cars perfectly.
